Around dusk last night I was picking up revelers in a transport van when the bombardments began. As it darkened the pyrotechnics intensified and I felt like I was driving through a suburban war zone (not to minimalize the experiences of those who have been in an actual war zone). About an hour in a timely rainstorm mostly snuffed things out for the rest of the evening. I almost got religion.
