Many of the events happened, though not necessarily as portrayed in the film. But Chalamet is utterly plausible. The songs are carefully chosen to match the events, which they probably did as Bob saw things.
I assume the appearance of the motorbike is an indication that an accident lies ahead, although that is beyond the script of this film. To me, Bob comes out of it as talented, single-minded and selfish.
