In 1965 my brother and I were given a reel to reel tape deck for Christmas and we had hours of fun recording our own voices. We also recorded Top of the Pops and the closing down of Radio London on 15th August 1967. Today I have dug out the old tape deck and played a recording in 1966 of my Grandfather's recital of The Irish Fire Brigade.
He had learnt it many years earlier and it was word perfect.
