Some folks just don't get some jokes. I say again… the “wreck” bits are all American; the McCutcheons, Weavers &c. There is no equivalent Bahamian folklore to match. The same American songbook 'source' includes a pirate hanging… in Nassau… on 26 March 1926. Trust & believe that did not happen… either.
