Stilly your optimism is commendable and there have been some anemic victories against authoritarianism but many things are already pretty bad. Is it worse than the W bailouts or .com bust - you bet.
Is it irreversible? Hell no.

But it will take time
and steel spines
that are hard to find
at least in Congress
