I was found last night standing by the window
Staring out at the driving rain.
In the dark I was told
O I must be getting old,
The spring is so cold.
Only yesterday it seemed that summer never ceased,
Now there’s snow in May and April.

I was found last night gazing at the bookcase,
Countless words from the wisest minds.
And they’ve shown me the light,
And they’ve shown me what to fight,
They can’t help me tonight.
There’s a tale of sound and fury ringing in my ears
And the story’s never ending.

Hold me - That’s the only truth I can be sure of,
There’s nothing left to hope for, only your love.

The bell may not be ringing out tomorrow.

And I learned last night to forget about contentment,
Barely hoping I‘ve come to rest.
I must have been blind
For the grail is in the mind,
About to seek and not to find.

God is sleeping sound and I need some consolation.
