Michigan sent their governor a couple of weeks ago and they ambushed her. She was at the White House on business and some of his aids hurried her into the Oval Office - she assumed it was a one-on-one visit but instead he was ready with his obnoxious Sharpie and signed a couple of more Executive Orders, to do with topical stuff (to him). She was humiliated and at one point hid her face behind a binder she was holding. Was this to make her less good in Democratic eyes (that was a side effect) or to use her presence in the room as a marketing ploy when talking to MAGA - "see, even Democratic governors are here for this stuff."

Don't send women thinking they'll be more effective, to Trump his only tool is a hammer and everyone who arrives looks like a nail.
