Thanks so much for this old thread! I love that album and particularly both of Gerry's songs. I was trying to work out Strokestown a long time ago, but I actually came here because I heard a song played live on the radio a few days ago (Proud to be an Anzac by Billy Bridge). I found it on Spotify and I could work out most of it by ear, except for a little chord change in the chorus. It sounded to me like part of Strokestown, and sure enough it's that G F# Bm that I just found in this thread! So thank you all, you helped me work out the chords for another song! And I really must have another go at Strokestown.

PS there is a local guy here in Melbourne Australia (Cyril Moran) who plays Patagarang in open G on a twelve string, sounding pretty close to the original. Great song!
