In preparing my second book on sheet music, I have been trying to get a scan of the cover of Gypsy Davey from the Rancho Notorious movie (1952). The Library of Congress tells me that I could look for it by telling them the name of the composer. I have tried to find it to no avail. Given the many years of this thread, I'm not sure that a composer was given credit for the age-old tune. But I don't know and I am likely not to acquire a scan of that piece of sheet music.
