I live in Windsor, Ont., the busiest border crossing between the U.S. and Canada, and my personal belief is that th is a load of crap. I know lots of Canadian artists who tour the states all the time (our own Rick F. has been known to go south occasionally) and there are Detroit bands in Windsor all the time. I also personally escorted a Detroit-area bluegrass band across the border a few years ago and there was minimal hassle. If there's somebody out there having a hard time crossing the border, I'd suggest it's because they arrive at the border with a lot of ATTITUDE toward the customs and immigration agents. That's a sure way to get major headaches....
cheers,
david
