An observation on the dynamic between Pope Leo IV and Trump and it is worth reading the whole article, in my opinion. Basically the idea seems to be there is hope, but there are no easy answers:

"This means Pope Leo, previously Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, is, like his predecessor Pope Francis, one of the few people — perhaps the only one — to offer a significant global alternative to the dominant 'America-first' US president.

"President Trump leads a country of 340 million. Pope Leo leads 1.4 billion globally.

"And now the two men are being pitted against each other in the popular imagination as President Trump rounds up migrants, cuts off aid and redefines the world order according to who holds the most cards, and Pope Leo calls for dignity for the poor and protection for refugees."
