I'm currently reading one I heard about recently, published in Sept. 2024 and it's astonishing how it fits today's politics. Book and Dagger: How Scholars and Librarians Became the Unlikely Spies of World War II. It was written after the first Trump administration but during this time of xtian nationalism and their support of fascist leaders today. Burn the books, and when all of that is normalized, start picking off the Jews, and when that is all normalized, start gassing them. Today American libraries are under assault, so far mostly banning, but the equivalent of burning, and if you can't see the parallel of how undocumented immigrants are being treated to normalize their mistreatment and removal, you have to be blind.
