I've performed this song at gigs since oh, maybe 1967.
It's a song about the industrial north and the writer just happened to live in Salford. He paints a good picture of what life there back then would've been like - for HIM.
I've been there many times to the Guitar Repair Workshop ànd each time I'm there I find myself humming the tune as I stand and look around.
