I get strings by mail from Apollo Music. There IS a shop local (ish) but the strings HE stocks Lord alone knows how long he's had 'em in a small town with low demand.

Wherever you get 'em, you need to be sure the strings are not fake, so avoid those "unbelievable" bargains and don't get stuffed ;)
