I've never owned a Fylde, so I'm not really in a position to comment on 'em.

However, just because you can't see it, it doesn't mean your Fylfe has no truss rod. A wartime Martin had/ /has no metal truss rod, and it would fail a magnet test, but there's still one there, albeit non-metal.

You can settle this by contacting Fylde who, I'm sure, will be glad to help.
