This sweet story [of Thais] has been adapted to the lyric
staged by Louis Gallet, while Massanet wrote the
music, and it was brought out at the Paris Grand
Opera in 1894. The libretto was published by
Calmann Levy in the same year. (12mo., x-45pp.).
