If you found that folks in the US didn’t want to talk about politics, despite being in the eye of the Trump storm, it is the result of the fear the average person or business person feels from the administration. This is similar to East Germany and Soviet methods of control.

I have seen the same from folks around here. Folks either strongly condemn the dictator or they feign an agnostic opinion.
If I go further and ask if they feel fear as part of their outlook is when they outright lie and claim they feel no fear whatsoever. Even fear itself is part of the Trump loyalty cult to be afraid of.
