Subject: RE: Tech: Windows 10-what's happening - updates
I just pulled up the list of threads I've traced here and when searching "Windows" I see tips and discussions going back to Win98.

Even though I'm about ready to switch to 11, I'm still solving issues with 10. For quite a while now Outlook hangs and won't let the computer shut down unless I click the "close anyway" button. (I never use Outlook, I don't open it intentionally.) Last night I shut the computer down, not looking for that, and this morning when I started it up it popped awake, not having even entered "sleep" (what I usually use if I don't turn it off overnight.)

So this morning I went in and I removed the one email account I experimented setting up in it, and to get that out I had to delete all of the data. And set up a place to store a file for data even though it was now deleted. Ugg.

There is no way to uninstall it.

Meanwhile, when I renewed my contract with Microsoft (for Office 365 - I use it because I use the file storage for photos - at $70 a year it is less expensive for the space than any of the other services out there. I could use Windows from my employer and pay nothing, except for wanting the storage space.) It has gone up. But I also wanted to kill off that Copilot crap, and it turns out that if you say you want to unsubscribe (or whatever this account payment is considered) and be insistent, they finally offer you a lower price without Copilot. Yes, please!
