But we could look on the bright side of the Springsteen/Leavitt fake news: it is more ammunition for the good people in the fight. I saw a couple of sites which were trying to build up Leavitt's reputation but that, IMHO, would be as we say here in Oz, "pushing $hit uphill". LOL

I keep musing on how Leavitt was appointed to her position. I ambeing reminded of a quirkily funny woman I met some decades ago who would walk into a crowded room and loudly say, "Who do you have to f*** around here to get a drink?". (Note: she was an older lady and not a Barbie type.) I wonder whether the same process applied to Leavitt for her job application. :-D
