Having played the mouth organ in my nipperhood, on becoming involved with the Morris I learned melodeon. After 35 years at an acceptably mediocre level, I joined a side with a really good box player and had to pull my socks up. In the fullness of time he left, I'm now the loudest instrument, not necessarily the best player in the band but the dancers are happy so I must be doing something right.
