Liland, just curious: where did you learn Tlingit? Tlingits are the largest Indian tribe here in Juneau. (We also have Athabascan, Haida, Tshimpshian, and the occasional Eskimo peoples)

A few years ago, the Tlingit were in danger of losing their language, I understand, but there are now after-school classes for young'uns on up. There is now an evident proud heritage and a vital culture. If you want to see and hear something moving and impressive all 'round, attend one of their celebrations!
