Peter Amidon passed away this afternoon, surrounded by song, wrapped in the robe I was planning on giving him for Christmas. The morning was spent singing songs, holding his hands, and sneaking sips of black coffee. He will be missed more than I can likely comprehend at the moment. I know how lucky I was to have a place at this man’s table, but never knew I’d have the honor of being at his bedside with his beloveds. It was a beautiful day, despite the goodbyes to one of the good ones. Safe passage Peter.
