I finished errands by 2pm because the roofer said 3pm, but now we wait (he texted he'll be here at 4:15). The chipper, spare blade, instructions (and my emphasis of a few things she needs to stress to her friend) handed over. Plus six jars of pickled okra. As she prepared to take all of this to her car she stuffed a jar of okra in her handbag to take into the office. One wonders if it will last through the afternoon.
Windy weather again today but dry; I'm hoping the roof work can be done at a time when we don't have to worry about a weather front moving in. There are frost warnings in the counties north of here, but no rain. During the next 10 days I'll have many trips to do cat stuff but have decided to default to when the roofer wants to work (once I choose one) and park at the neighbor's house so I'm not blocked in.
The news is on, Jamaica is featured. Our puny problem of three days without power pales in comparison.
