Dorothy, it sounds like a good evening to get out the cards or board games. I remember lots of family game nights with various cousins after the meal. And I think having the guests help assemble the meal was a perfect plan.
Charmion, my old garage door opener has a wired button inside the side door into the garage, and remote controls. There was never a keypad, we're talking about a very old opener.
This morning while thinking about it I stepped out and turned off the string of lights (programmed to run every evening for 8 hours) so they won't attract trick-or-treaters. The porch light is motion-activated and is also off for now as are the sunroom lamp on the timer and the driveway motion-activated light.
Several sets of photos finished last night for listing on eBay today, and I have to make a batch of Puerto Rican rice to take over to the ex, to be sure he is getting enough calories. Since he's not driving right now he hasn't been shopping and what I delivered last week wasn't a lot. I have a suspicion that the gabapentin they have him on is causing difficulties, so will send him links to the side effects and he may want to ask the doctor for something else to use instead.
Busy busy week coming up, to be taken one day at a time.
