Sunday morning is a good time to drive around downtown, very quiet, so I picked up the friend who has a hearing on Tuesday and we drove around looking for our best approach to dropping her off at the building and then I'll park and walk back and we'll go inside. We tried several streets (lots of one-way streets and some weird diagonals involved) and drove past the front of the federal building so often I told her we'd better stop or they might think we're plotting something nefarious.
I have so many things on my calendar this week that it's overwhelming if looked at as a whole, so it's taken one busy day at a time, and I think this must continue as the approach to political activity. If I'm making a sign or writing letters, they have an appointed day to be done, then forget about them. Mental palate cleansing with jigsaw puzzles, book reading, and returning to watching DVD movies and streaming programs. I just started a series on PBS that has several seasons but is new to me. It all adds up to not letting Trump live in my brain rent free.
If I mow the lawn this week it might be the last mow for a while. The goal is to have the yard looking lovely in time for Thanksgiving when family is here, but it's really late this year, so there may be some touchups between this week and then.
