This afternoon's cat appointment, at the house, is as bad as the cable company service call - it turns out they could arrive any time between 1 and 4pm. What can I take along to work on until they arrive? And part B, the painters are back working around the outside, thumping, talking, playing a radio, making it sound weird for me and the cats. When will the cats ever come out of hiding after all of this disturbance?
Clocks changed, but I don't claim to have gotten them all. It's amazing how many objects have a clock these days and something always gets missed. The SUV clock not only went well, it was on the fly, managed during a long red light on the way to the cat house.
More eBay listings up, and some of those listed a while ago that don't get much attention will be taken down and go to Buy Nothing or Goodwill.
This week I'll be cutting down the okra, we've had a very good year and a long run, but there are fewer and they're petering out in the speed they grow. The plant bases are the size and durability of small trees, about 3"-4" across. The storm two weeks ago disturbed everything and they're leaning, so might be easier to pull out of the beds.
I haven't switched the thermostats from cooling to heat yet, though I have run the ceiling heater fan in the master bath this week (with the attendant smell of hot dust on the first use). The house temperature is comfortable, with just an extra flannel shirt in the mornings.
