At least Rachel Reeves has now said the quiet bit out loud, and on the record: the 4% hit on the UK economy directly attributable to Brexit. It's unfortunate that she didn't mention that earlier, and get the Pavlovian baying in the English meeja out of the way, but tap-dancing in a minefield does tend to be distracting.
