So, if it all goes to plan the government shutdown might end in the next week. (Not a moment too soon.)

Even if the Democrats do not manage to achieve all they set out to do, they have shown themselves as strong, brave individuals who are prepared to stand their ground in the fight for truth, justice and the American way - i.e. the democratic way that America was originally envisaged as becoming before Trump and his cronies began trying to hijack it.

Fingers crossed and strong prayers that it all turns out well.

I take heart in the fact that Trump was booed at the NFL game between Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions.
