Yeah, thanks MaJoC for trying to turn keberoxu off using the microwave!! :-D

Clarification: The little egg cooker cup I recommended has a lid. The egg doesn't go everywhere, mostly because it has to be cracked and the *contents only* go into the cup and not the whole egg in its shell.

The only items which are sealed in the microwave are the vege steamers and I add half a cup of hot water, steam it on high setting for one or two minutes at a time until done, usually only for a few minutes max. For everything else e.g. reheating things I place a plate or loosely sit a lid over the top but I also do it in stages. For reheating, the middle heat setting works and the high setting it too much.

One of my fave "I can't be bothered cooking" mini-meals is to steam a couple of whole potatoes after punching a couple of holes in them to let the steam out. They only take a few minutes, then I cut them up a bit, add some salt, a small amount of butter and a bit of cheese which then melts. I am really fond of the potatoes with the red skin. Red potatoes
