The House could impeach Orange Julius daily from now on, but the Senate would not convict him, so it's a pointless exercisee.
Nixon checked out of the White House only when enough Republicans had deserted his sinking ship, and leadership told him his support was down to 16-18 in the Senate. Apparently we are a long way from there, but I do wonder what the current count is.
