America needs its elitists back. The kind of elitists who are the virtuosos and experts of science, literature, art, and sociology.
Conservatives have long been conflating elitism with anti-intellectualism. Now look at the CDC or the Supreme Court. They are staffed with some people who have no more intellectual capacity than Charlie Fisk or Kristi Noem.

The poorly educated and loyalists to a criminal conspiracy are now in charge of great formerly democratic institutions. Even independent universities are bending the knee by way of extortion. Government by conspiracy theory, blogs, and a President who favors the Russian Secret Police over our own intelligence service is like turnocharged ignorance on steroids. Yes, I mix my metaphors, but at least they are my own words and not reposts of other people's opinions.

When it comes to science results, I do repost experts' findings often word-for-word. The only censorship I self-impose is that of sarcasm, which is either knowingly attacked or horribly misunderstood,

Trust or elite status is gained by drops but lost by buckets. While I am not among them, there are elitists in their field, even on this minor website. More power to those on the elitist path.

It's time to take elitism back from influencers, death threat creators, fashion police, cancel culturalists, and Nazi propagandist elites on the internet.
