When I discovered the Liverpool folk scene in 1970, the EFDSS had an office/shop in the Bluecoat Chambers run by Ethyl Anderson and others.
When the proposed name change was suggested,it dawned on me that I had no interest in EFDSS, when I realised I couldn't give a sod what they called it.
It's not a national resource, apart from the VWML.
