I went to a Catholic primary school in North Kensington in the 1950s and we used to sing " One, two, three O'Leary, I saw Bridget Cleary, sitting on her bum baleerie, One, two, three O'Leary. Overball" while throwing balls up against the wall and would have to jump over the ball as it landed on "Overball". I recently visited the Scottish Witch Trial Museum in Leven and learnt that Bridget Cleary was a real person who was murdered as she was suspected of being a Witch, in 1895 in Ireland.
