Thread Name: JFK-Khrushchev spoof of Christmas song
Subject: JFK-Khrushchev spoof of Christmas song
Does anyone remember a song from the early 1960’s that was a spoof of “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” in an imaginary meeting between John F. Kennedy and Nikita Khrushchev, with lyrics like “On the first day we met Premier Khrushchev said to me ‘your wife’s looking mighty pretty.’” The verses go on with lyrics like “On the tenth day we met Premier Khrushchev said to me, ‘please call me, Nikki, isn’t congress sticky…our power’s growing fast, don’t bother Castro, you must leave Berlin, and your wife’s looking mighty pretty.’”
It ends with JFK refuting each of Khrushchev’s statements, ending with “take your hand off Jackie’s knee.”
