Thanks SRS, for the comments on the truckies' and drivers' wave - I was trying not to hijack the thread with my half-serious post. I remember a similar incident where a truck driver flashed his lights on a hilly and winding section of the highway up-country from here. He pulled over and I took the hint and did too. It wasn't until I drove a few miles further that I saw a large and very slow truck maneouvering through the winding road carrying a huge load and the truckie behind me knew it would be a slow and frustrating drive ahead so he kindly shared that with other drivers.

Also re Stonehenge, a few days ago I watched a two part TV show which I thought would be about the archaeological history but was mostly about the social history in the past few decades. Interesting in its own way but I am more interested in its actual origins.
