Unnerving experience in the kitchen this afternoon: I ran the cold tap in the kitchen, and it honestly smelled as if someone had just cleaned out the sink with bleach. I know Thames Water*, like other water companies, put chlorine in the water as an anti-bacterial measure, but I was so worried about which other smell they might be covering that I found two minutes later that I'd inadvertently made a peanut butter sandwich.
