It's snowing to beat the band today in Ottawa, not quite Snowpocalypse, but close, if the CBC weather report is to be believed. Now I'm sorry I did the laundry yesterday, when getting about was comparatively easy; if I go out today, the falling snow will coat the proximity sensors on the car and cause a constant howl of collision warnings. Of course I could walk, but that's not much of a plan, either -- this fresh fall is coming down at a brisk 45-degree angle, and it's covering rather a lot of lumpy ice. I don't fancy performing my penguin imitation all the way through the park.
That leaves me with the jobs I've been putting off, such as hanging the last of the pictures and some telephoning of businesses that use AI bots to screen their calls. The plumbing company has one that supposedly "understands" speech, but its struggles to get my name and address right did not fill me with confidence.
