Spotted in today's Daily Star* by whoever does the BBC Red Button's newspaper review column: Diddums has been given a gold medal by its original recipient, to which the Star's comment is "put it down .... it isn't yours".^† News coverage remains silent on whether what was handed over was actually chocolate money.

What annoyed me is that the Star has redubbed the honour in question the "ig-nobel peace prize". I look forward to the inevitable retaliatory inaction when this year's Iggies are awarded.
