AFAIK, neither Asch nor Stinson Records were recording in 1939. Burl Ives never recorded for Stinson Records at all and most of his one and only 1944 session for 'Asch' was actually done by Alan Lomax. But Brennan on the Moor and The Fox did not appear on the resulting '44 Asch Recordings 3x10" shellac album The Wayfaring Stranger (A345.)

The two tracks were first released on the 1947 Stinson Records shellac single mentioned above. They were then added to the 1954 Stinson vinyl reissue of the whole album (SLP-1) as 'bonus tracks.'

Then again, with this lot one never knows what's still lurking out there somewhere.
