The skylarks that we have here sing for about 3 minutes at a time. They start singing about 15 feet from the ground then climb quickly at first then slowly to (I estimate) about 100 feet then slowly descend until about 30 feet up they stop singing and dive at a steep angle back to the ground. They can repeat the process after a couple of minutes rest.
