I first heard this song in the college music library where I worked 40 years ago. I had to catalogue a large donated record collection, which included a souvenir LP from Italy, "Souvenir D'Italia" or something... there was ONE English song on it - this one, which the band sang in almost comically thick Italian accents:

and so on. What I'd give to hear that track again...
