It's not often I wake up early and realize I'm not going back to sleep, but that was me this morning. The dogs were startled to see me up so early and they've gone back to bed.
Two battery drawers are merged into one with an organizing bin (with a new tester) holding the good batteries. What started as research into rechargeable lithium batteries for the new-old camera (seems lots of rechargeable lithium AA don't fit well in devices with narrow battery slots) ended up with me looking to see what I actually had here. In with the good ones were old drained unopened packs, now in the eWaste bag, and a few sizes are on the shopping list. One of the drawers will be re-purposed (it also had pads of paper - like I need more paper.)
Washer repair this afternoon blocks out the entire afternoon but this morning I'll make a run to drop off stuff. The donation bin is bursting, as is the recycling bin. Some of the departing items are unsold eBay things that will try their luck in the thrift store wild. And another eBay parcel will leave the porch this morning.
I went to the docent book club meeting yesterday - something I plan to continue. They don't meet as often as some groups but the process of choosing books is very democratic and a couple of us suggested books others might like that don't exactly tie into the museum work we're doing but others will enjoy, so I added several to my Good Reads list.
