Thread Name: Lyr Req: Old McDonald / Old MacDonald Had a Farm
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Old McDonald / Old MacDonald Had a Farm
I don't believe anyone's yet given Sam Patterson's 1925v lyrics. They're believed to be the first use of the modern tune and the first inclusion of MacDonald and E-I-E-I-O. I just transcribed the whole thing from the 1925 recording. It's not so innocent!

1
Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O.
And on his farm he had some chicks, E-I-E-I-O,
with a chick-chick here and a chick-chick there,
here a chick, there a chick, everywhere a chick-chick.
Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O.

2
