I tried searching for the TV show which I think was called What is Music? No luck, but by looking at the Wiki entry for Bobby McFerrin I found this:

"In 2009, McFerrin and psychologist Daniel Levitin hosted The Music Instinct, a two-hour documentary produced by PBS and based on Levitin's best-selling book This Is Your Brain on Music. Later that year, the two appeared together on a panel at the World Science Festival."

I keep forgetting that there were two different documentary TV series broadcast at around the same time. Levitin's documentary was excellent, and it examined a lot of the influences of music on humans, which relates to the topic of this thread. Another 2009 documentary by Levitin is mentioned called The Musical Brain, so maybe I saw both.
