I first saw "Country Joe" McDonald in the film of the Woodstock Festival at our local cinema and then was lucky enough to have seen him playing solo at the Bickershaw festival, near Wigan, in 1972 and again at Leeds Festival in 1983 with a backing band.

I remember enjoying his 'War War War' and 'Incredible Live Country Joe' albums which I bought after the Bickershaw show. Happy days!
