Had one of our six-times-a-year "Cafe Ceilidhs" in The Scottish Storytelling Centre on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh this afternoon - on a mainly Irish theme: a good mix of songs, tunes, stories and poems.
Tunes included: a set of polkas, Captain O'Kane (Carolan), The Pride of Petravore, Chief O'Neill's Favourite, Her Mantle So Green, Eamonn's, Spancil Hill, The Butterfly, Salley Gardens and The Dawning of the Day.
Songs: Wild Mountain Thyme, Wild Rover (the trad version, not the no, nay never!), Blue Hills of Antrim - and reflecting the international audience, others from Brazil, Spain and Mexico.
