My laundry room upgrade is miniscule compared to Charmion's kitchen, but it is reminding me what other things I have done and can do around here. And it's helping me form a list of what needs doing before the house painting happens. The painter texted me the quote (I sent him my email and asked him to use it - I'll need to ask again because I want documents I can print for the insurance company that don't involve my phone.) It costs a modest amount more than the insured + deductible amount but these are things that need doing, so I'll make a point of spending less for a while to make up the difference. I have the materials here I need for the laundry room work (and the paint from the front hall is a color I like and there is a half-gallon left. The laundry area is basically a passageway that is mostly doors and cupboards, so not a lot of surface to paint.) I have to wash down the walls, may be do that now and paint before the floor so there's less taping to do.

I pulled some muscles during the rotary brush scrub of the floor (leaning through the space where the washer hoses are still attached). My bad. I'll remember to be more careful for the rest of the work.
