Plenty of Friday night sessions in Dumfries and Galloway centred to the north and west of Dumfries in Castle Douglas (Imperial Hotel from 7pm) , Kircudbright (The Garrett from 8pm), Borgue (Hotel from 9pm), Newton Stewart (Bank Vauts Arts Centre - check website)and Thornhill (Farmers Arms 3rd Wed to the north from 8pm). I think there is also one in Leadhills and a few in Dumfries itself and the Solway Coast close by.
