Is your sister-in-law also in the recovery stage, or is she a day ahead of you (sounds like you kept this bug in the family)? What does the construction zone look like at the moment? Is it empty or are there pieces around awaiting placement? Are cabinets built and delivered (not built on site?) Hopefully the contractor installs the new appliances? Have you been over to visit the cats?
I made some cranberry bars yesterday and distributed the lion's share around to neighbors. Kept my consumption of them to a few just yesterday (gluten free but still lots of sugar). Now to take spring seriously and drop the Prednisone weight. My new mower blades arrived so after I finish some online work I'll swap out the blades and take the mower for a spin and benefit from the steps. Painting is a good indoor task for the hot part of the day (it's supposed to hit 95 again today).
The can of very high VOC wood filler was opened, stirred, and applied to the walls, and is now closed. Give it an hour to dry then sand lightly right before painting and I'm good to go. I have a half gallon of paint so I'll go slowly with a brush to get the most application for the tool involved. A roller may be faster but a lot more of it washes down the drain from the pan and the roller and I don't want to be matching paint to buy another quart to finish the job. I'll put on headphones and listen to an audiobook as I work.
