Good choices, Pappy. My inner nerd keeps kicking me in the ear'ole and saying "three backups"* and "test your backups"†, but you've got the right ideas. At least you're actually doing something .... cobbler's children, a world shortage of Round Tuits, an' all that.
One final tip: Given the way SSDs and flash drives work, it's best to keep them sparsely populated. When they're nearly full, they wear out somewhat faster, due to something called "write amplification" in the trade.
End of blethers.
* That's a race memory of the "grandfather/father/son" regime from tape-backup days.
† .... and "a backup doesn't exist until it's been restored from". Firms have folded for ignoring this.
